Install Podmailing on Windows

Installing the Podmailing software is the best way to download the files you receive thanks to the Podmailing service. It is mandatory in order to send your own large files and folders. This page presents a walkthrough of the Podmailing installation process for Windows and for MacOS X.

Tutorial for Podmailing installation on Windows

1. On the Podmailing download page, click on the following button: "Free download for Windows". It will download the installer named "Podmailing_Setup_x_y_z.exe" (x_y_z indicates the version number of Podmailing).
2. Your browser may display a download window such as:


You can either click the "Run" button or click the "Save" Button and then open the installer "Podmailing_Setup_x_y_z.exe".

3. Once you launch the installer, your computer might display a security warning message, to make sure that you intended to download and run Podmailing, click again on the "Run" button:

4. The user license of Podmailing is displayed. You must read it entirely and click on the "I Agree" button to continue:

5. The installer proposes to install Podmailing in the standard path:

6. Installation success: you can choose to Start Podmailing immediately:


If you already have a BitTorrent client installed, Podmailing also proposes to take over .torrent files to download them too.

Well done, you are now ready to use Podmailing!

Install Podmailing on MacOS X

1. On the Podmailing download page, click on the following button: "Free download for MacOS X". It will download the installer named "Podmailing_x_y_z.dmg" (x_y_z indicates the version number of Podmailing).
2. Open the installer "Podmailing_x_y_z.dmg".
3. The user license of Podmailing is displayed. You must read it entirely and click on the "Agree" button to continue:

4. The installer opens up on the desktop in the form of a virtual disk with a white icon named "Podmailing":

5. Click on the disk "Podmailing" in order to open the Podmailing window:

6. Drag and drop the Podmailing icon on your "Applications" folder or on the "Applications" shortcut displayed in the installer. N.B.: do not double-click on the Podmailing icon directly in the installer window.
7. You can then eject the virtual disk of the installer and launch Podmailing from your Applications folder.

Well done, you are now ready to use Podmailing!

Tip: we recommend you to keep Podmailing in your dock. When you have a large file or folder that you want to send, you can just drag and drop it onto the Podmailing icon in the dock and a Podmail is automatically created for you!
